Focused on innovation
The month's key events at a glance
In July, R&D, project construction and industry visits at the Innovation Center all moved forward together. The month's work was organized around three areas: the release of in-house technology, the groundbreaking of the R&D headquarters project, and visits from across industry. On the one hand, the Center concentrated its efforts on releasing its in-house core motion-control platform, further strengthening its technical foundation; on the other, it advanced construction of its new R&D facility and kept the showroom regularly open to visitors from all sectors, broadening industry exchange. All operations proceeded according to plan.

Focusing on key technologies
In-house motion-control platform released
To further build out the full in-house technology stack of the Lansen humanoid-robot series and make the robots easier and safer to operate, the R&D team, after systematic development and refinement, officially launched this month the in-house WIIRI high-performance motion-control platform — the Lansen Unified Motion Control Host Software V1.0.
The platform combines mainstream industry approaches with in-house low-level motion-control modules, bringing all of the robot's joints — from both arms, both hands and the head and neck to the mobile base — into a single graphical interface. No programming is needed: operators control the robot by clicking in a web page, so even non-technical staff can get started quickly.

It is truly easy to deploy, migrate, extend and learn. A built-in permission management system intercepts and logs unsafe operations, unauthorized personnel and unauthorized actions in real time.

The platform also provides comprehensive execution logs and data analysis, continuously accumulating multi-dimensional operating data during day-to-day debugging and demonstrations to support the R&D team's ongoing optimization and iteration.

The V1.0 baseline now available provides two core capabilities — unified control and demonstration operation. It enables integrated, coordinated control of the robot's two arms, dexterous hands, head and neck and autonomous mobile base, and supports calling preset motions, fine joint-level adjustment and offline deployment, suiting a range of uses such as showroom displays, teaching demonstrations and event receptions.

Following the platform roadmap, the company will keep iterating on this baseline, progressively adding VLA (vision-language-action) models and expanding task execution, debugging and data-analysis capabilities, building out the full host-software feature set and continuing to refine the underlying motion-control technology to support the intelligent evolution and deployment of Lansen humanoid robots.

Hitting project milestones
Construction of the R&D headquarters begins
On July 11, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Jiangsu Longsheng WIIRI Embodied-Intelligence Robotics Innovation Center project was held. Zhao Qiang, Secretary of the CPC Binhu District Committee; Yang Zhiqing, member of the Leading Party Members' Group of the District Government; company Chairman Ni Ming; Honorary Chairman Ni Maosheng; and Fu Yongqiang, Party Secretary of Lihu Subdistrict, gathered on site to witness the groundbreaking.
The project has a total investment of RMB 200 million and covers about 7.7 mu (roughly 0.5 hectares). It will include an 11-storey dedicated group R&D headquarters that will serve as the long-term home of Wuxi's only provincial-level embodied-AI robotics innovation center. Once completed, it will host R&D and testing, exhibitions of results and industry–academia–research cooperation, providing solid physical support for the company's work on full-chain humanoid-robot technology and industrialization.

Welcoming visitors from all sides
Deepening industry connections
The number of showroom visitors rose significantly this month, exceeding 250 in total. Visitors came from government authorities and enterprises, university research teams, leading industry companies, financial and investment institutions, media and industry forums, visiting the Center for tours and discussions.
On July 7, the "Qingjian Binhu" Tsinghua University study week organized by Binhu District came to Longsheng WIIRI. A group of 38 Tsinghua master's and doctoral students toured the full chain of humanoid-robot R&D results and observed a simulated production line in operation. Afterwards, the group held a seminar with the company's core R&D staff on the state of the humanoid-robot industry, key technology challenges and industry–academia–research collaboration, exchanging frontier ideas and building a lasting research link between the university and the company.

On July 15, the Cyberspace Affairs Office of the CPC Binhu District Committee held a youth study activity at the Center. Fifteen parent–child families watched demonstrations of the complete humanoid robot and the latest core-component developments, tried controlling a dexterous hand and assembled robots hands-on. A cybersecurity awareness session was held at the same time, combining hands-on experience of frontier robotics with digital-safety education for young people.

On July 21, Herbert Diess, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Infineon and founder of Sun Capital, visited the Center with his delegation. A leading figure in the electrification and digital transformation of the global automotive industry, Dr. Diess learned about the company's progress on complete humanoid robots, core components and the motion-control system, and exchanged views on robot deployment in automotive manufacturing and high-end equipment scenarios and on industry–capital collaboration, paving the way for future cross-industry resource matching and technical cooperation.

In the next phase, the Center will focus its resources on upcoming R&D milestones: continuing to iterate and optimize the high-performance motion-control platform; and, for the new-generation Lansen 3.1, which has completed electrical-system testing and verified its performance improvements over the previous generation, structural assembly and further testing are progressing steadily.
The Center will also keep up its regular exchange platform, keeping the showroom open to industry peers, continually enriching channels for industry connection and accelerating both humanoid-robot R&D and industrialization.
